Our sweet little Siamese Kitten Suzette has crossed the rainbow bridge this afternoon. Even though I am away, these tough decisions must be made in the best interest of our animals. Thank you Dr Mangone and staff for being there with Suzette on my behalf.
I am so sorry Suzette - everyone who had the chance to meet you instantly fell in love. You were the sweetest, most gentle and loving kitten that has passed through our doors in quite some time. We were honored to be able to take care of you, and give you a happy loving life in this short time.
Run free with our other babies in heaven, and know you made an impact on all of us.

RIP Sweet Danika with Kojak and all the animals who lost their lives at Tiggy Town Rescue.
Danika - after 7 days, and confirming that you were not one of the live animals removed from the premises, I must conclude that you are no longer with us. We all hoped that there was another location where animals were being held, but at this point, and without any confirmation, I am heart broken that you were one of the lost souls.
I am sorry you were let down by Tiggy Town rescue who wanted to give you a new life and beginning. Everyone at Saving Orphan Souls Rescue wishes we could have done more, if we only knew the siutation was this bad for you and your friends in the home. The only thing that makes us feel better is knowing that your back legs are working, and you are running full force in heaven playing with our SOS babies and your friends who also lost their lives in this house of horror.
3/29/2019 - The angels have taken our sweet boy Boodles to the after life. Boodles was relinquished to Yuma HS because he was too old. We took him into rescue, and ultimately adopted him out to Steph and her family. Boodles had an amazing life with this family, and we are so thrilled that he spent his last months, days with them.
Boodles was pampered and very much loved - something that every animal deserves especially the ones who were your companion and friend until they became too old. I see you smiling down on us Boodles - run and play with our SOS friends, and enjoy forever without a care in the world!
3/29/2019 - Kojak’s memorial stone arrived and It is gorgeous. It will go on the table of the memorial for her, Danika and their friends, along with a toy her former owner sent to hang in the cage.
3/30/2019 - We are sad to report that another SOS baby has been taken by the angels. Little Umar peacefully left us yesterday, and will join his sibling, Boodles and the rest of our SOS babies in the after life.
Thank you Mama Magic for giving this sweet pea a chance at life, and to her two babies who accepted Umar as their sibling. In your short life, you were able to experience love, food, a safe place to rest and had a chance at life.
Run free sweet baby!
4/24/2019 - REST IN PEACE SWEET KITTIES
Rescue is both rewarding and heartbreaking all at the same time.
Yesterday, I had to make the heart wrenching decision to have the three (left in the park in a box) kittens go to the rainbow bridge. After thorough evaluation for a week, four vet's all in agreement, I went to say a final goodbye to these poor souls.
A simple vaccination could have given these poor babies a chance at a forever home and healthy life!!! PLEASE VACCINATE YOUR ANIMALS!!!!
Many thanks to Jen, Dr. Caldwell and the staff at Apollo North Animal Hospital for all the time and effort you put into these kitties. At least they had a chance to see what love is, a safe place to lay their head, and full bellies!
5/7/2019 - Rest In Peace Sweet Montessori. Just knowing that you spent the night at home base feeling love and comfort, made this so much easier on me. Thanks to Apollo North for taking this sweet baby this morning.
REST IN PEACE MAMA BLOSSOM🌺💐🦋🌻🌼🌸
Yesterday 5/25 we said goodbye to Mama Blossom. This poor girl suffered a blood clot after her spay surgery a week later, and was taken way too soon. Blossom went from recovering happy and wanting to be pet and shown love, to her entire stomach black and blue and gone.
We will make sure your two babies Barbie and Bit O Honey will go to loving home. Your foster mom Susan and everyone at SOS is beyond grateful that we were able to save you from Yuma HS, let you have your babies in a loving foster home, and give you the love you so very much deserved.
Rest In Peace Sweet Girl!
6/10/2019 - Saving Orphan Souls rescue is truly honored that you little ones came through our doors, and that we were able to show you love, compassion, and what a home is all about!
6/13/2019 - A new life begins for you sweet girl - no more pain or the unknown of what comes next.
6/21/2019 - REST IN PEACE MR. COOPER
7/7/2018 - It is with tears that I post this:
Our dear sweet Leila was called to the heavens this afternoon to be with Mr. Cooper and Boodles. There is going to be a schnazuer party in heaven this evening.
Leila did not respond to the additional medication she was put on earlier in the week, and the fluids in her frail body doubled in size. She became lethargic, disoriented and you could just tell, she was tired of fighting.
For the last three weeks, I have been in contact with Dr. Mangone, at Palm Glen Animal Hospital, regarding emergencies - today was no different. We both knew what needed to be done, and he was gracious enough to drop whatever he was doing, and meet me, Leila and Maggie her foster mom at the clinic. He sedated her to make the process easier, and once she was asleep, she gained her wings. Leila was surrounded by people who loved her, and we are thrilled that we were able to give this girl a dignified passing.
Leila came to SOS when I received a call from the East Shelter saying they had a schanzuer, and could I take her. Upon arrival, this poor girl was distraught as you can just imagine being in an unfamiliar place with loud noises and you are BLIND! Leila immediately came to homebase, and shortly thereafter, she went into permanent foster with Maggie.
All I can remember about this sweet baby is from day one, she loved life. It didn't matter she couldn't see, all she wanted was to be in the center of everything, and have people love on her. She loved taking car rides, coming to home base to see the schanuzer pack and get her grooming done, chew lots of bully sticks, and of course, just go everywhere with Maggie.
Sometimes life ends way to short. It's what we do with the time we have on this earth that counts. Why did you come into the shetler as a stray? How come no one came looking for you? Many questions are unanswered, BUT - Leila you came into our rescue for a reason. You were meant to be a part of our family, and you were one of the chosen to live the rest of your life happy and loved.
Many thanks to everyone that was part of Leila's life. She had many people in her apartment complex who loved to see her on her daily walks, and stop to pet her. To Maggie's family for welcoming her into their home, and treating her like part of their family. To the staff at Palm Glen for taking the utmost best care of her while she was in and out of their office, and to Maggie for stepping up to the plate and taking in a special needs dog. Leila loved you more than anything, and I know you felt the same way about her!
Say Hi to Koa, Mr. Cooper and Boodles little girl, and enjoy the afterlife.

Mr. Pumpkin - Another Innocent soul taken by FIP - Feline Infectious Peritonitis.
You were a joy to have around, and always made your foster moms laugh. From being rescued roaming the streets really young, being underweight and super sick, you always had that spark of life in you. We find comfort knowing that you were so happy in your foster home with the other kitties, and when you finally found your forever family, who adored you beyond words, our hearts were full.
Rest sweet boy, and know you made a dent in our hearts forever.

11 Babies and 5 adults saved from Buckeye on Easter Sunday. The former owners decided to vacate the premises, and leave everyone behind. The landlord threw all the cats outside to fend for themselves. We are contacted to help, and took everyone into rescue. Two batches of kittens (4) larger apx. 3-4 weeks, and (7) smaller - all black - were nursing on one mom whom we called Sunday. After long 24/7 hours shifts trying to keep everyone alive with supplemental feedings, this sweet girl passed. Rest Peacefully Kiyara.
