Powder (Coconut)

I'm a big girl now, but I was a teeny tiny when I rescued my Mom. She thought she was going to adopt a guinea pig, but then I caught her eye, and worked my magic! Mom helped me grow up to be this beautiful blue eyed girl. I like to help with laundry and go for walks, but no too far. So, have you thought about rescuing a hooman?

Cooper

I have been wanting to adopt a dog for a long time, but my husband, Michael, was a tough sell. We are caring for my 90 year old mother and he thought it would add too much work. I remembered that Michael had known a friend’s Mini Schnauzer and loved her. One Google search of “Schnauzer Rescue” later put a picture of Cooper in front of me with the words “Rescue Me” above his head. That was it, Michael and I were both in love with him! Ro calls him our “old man from Mexico” because he’s 10 and had a pretty rough time of it before Saving Orphan Souls came along. He had to have all but 4 of his teeth pulled, is deaf and has some vision problems, but that doesn’t stop him from galloping around the house when he’s excited to see us or it’s time for a meal (tile floors make for a hilarious Scooby-Doo kind of event). Mr. Cooper is personality plus! He brings us all joy every day, what a perfect match for dog and humans alike. Thank you to everyone at Saving Orphan Souls for what you do. –Margaret Latham

Loki (Octavia)

I came into rescue with 5 brand new babies, but SOS saved us all. I waited a long time for my forever home. My second foster mom nicknamed me “Ava May”. But my REAL mom - my forever mom - she gave me my REAL name - Loki! Even though I was afraid to ride in a car, I didn’t fuss all the way home! I just KNEW this was my forever! My mom says I’m doing great, and love to be petted. (PS, she loves my purr!). The whole family loves me, and I couldn’t be happier!!

Penny (Minnehana)

Penny, who was named Minnehana, came to us from Saving Orphan Souls. We were in search for an addition to our furry children to be a companion and buddy to our little mini Schnauzer Kenzie. She has fit right into our family. She enjoys traveling with us, loves to play with her siblings, taking nightly walks, morning treats, but most of all when its “bedtime” she leads the way to the bedroom and into bed. She can be a lazy little girl at times. She never misses a chance to cuddle up with one of us whether on the couch or in bed. Like her Schnauzer sister, she hates the vacuum or anything that makes loud noises and attacks it on site.

We love our Penny girl! She is a big sweetheart and has become a great companion for Kenzie.

Daisy Mae (Poinsetta)

On February 3rd, 2018 My husband Kevin & I met Poinsettia ( now known as Daisy Mae) at an adoption event in Anthem, AZ. Truth be told, we were not expecting to bring home a dog that day.We have now had Daisy Mae for a little over a year and a half and can't imagine life without her. Daisy Mae is doing amazing! She loves going to the dog park and running around with her BFF Penny. She regularly shreds stuffed animals and is quite the cuddler & licker. Her favorite thing to do is be lazy at home with mom and dad. Its safe to say she is living her best life! Daisy Mae is the best dog in the world and we are so lucky that she chose to rescue us! Separately, thank you to S.O.S for all you do in connecting these amazing animals with their FUR-ever homes, this rescue is truly amazing!
